All shipments are F.O.B. Tucson, Arizona. Default shipping for all orders under $500 is FedEx 2-Day service for the price of residential ground service. There are no exclusions to this “2-Day for Ground” program – all products qualify regardless of weight or size. A small $3.50 handling charge is added by Horizon to the freight amount of each order. Orders over $500.00 qualify for free ground freight (applies only to the 48 contiguous states). If the free ground freight is chosen, there will be no COD option and we will choose the carrier (Most commonly FedEx Ground or Freight). If you choose not to take advantage of the free ground freight option, the regular “2-Day for Ground” program will apply.
If you choose COD as a payment option on orders transmitted by fax, telephone, or email, the service fees (currently $9.00 per box), will be added to the total freight charge. Since COD represents the most expensive method of payment, you are strongly urged to consider other methods such as Check by Fax (Please see details here
). All shipments will be sent using the best available carrier, and the United States Postal Service may be considered for very small orders.
All shipments become the property of the dealer once picked up by the carrier. Damage to product or packaging must be reported within five days of receipt of shipment to Horizon’s Customer Service Hotline at 1-888-409-0006. If a shipment is damaged, we strongly recommend documenting this fact at the time of receipt with digital photography so that Horizon may effectively advocate on your behalf with the carrier.
Air shipments may at times be delivered late due to exceptions beyond the carrier’s control such as inclement weather, no access to delivery location, and so on. In these cases, freight will not be refunded by the carrier or by Horizon. If a package is delivered late due to mistakes made by the carrier, only the freight amount will be refunded to you by the carrier and by Horizon. Service and handling fees will not be refundable in any case.
